Based on a true story from 2006, Chidambaram’s survival thriller Manjummel Boys follows a group of young men from Kochi who travel to the scenic hill station of Kodaikanal. During a visit to the infamous Guna Caves (Devil’s Kitchen), one of their friends Subhash falls deep into a narrow, dark pit. Unwilling to leave him behind, his friends risk everything in a heroic rescue mission.
